Oberau, at an altitude of 936 metres, has around ten pistes, most of which are suitable for beginners. Access to the practice areas is facilitated by the ski area's numerous lifts. In addition, there is an excellent ski school in the village where even the youngest can make acquaintances with gliding sports. Experienced skiers, on the other hand, can enjoy themselves on the ski area's only black piste or take a detour to the neighbouring villages of Niederau and Auffach, which offer further facilities for advanced skiers. Snowboard and freestyle fans, on the other hand, can make use of the snow park 2 km from the station. Regardless of your level, you will find suitable equipment at the various ski rental shops in the village.
