In the heart of Prato Nevoso, right in front of the Scuola Sci and the main access to the slopes, Surf Shop (via Galassia 1, under the long central arcade) offers simple, fast and friendly ski and snowboard rental. For decades, the team has welcomed skiers and snowboarders with attentive service, ensuring you start your day on the snow in the best possible way.

Shop identity

Founded in the 1960s, the shop adopted the name Surf Shop in the mid-1980s during the rise of snowboarding. Today, it is run by siblings Silvia and Dino, both instructors (Dino is also a snowboard coach). Their passion for the mountains and their deep knowledge of local tourism can be felt in every conversation. The shop even features a small snowboard museum showcasing historic boards from before 1989, photos and memorabilia — a charming stop appreciated by many customers.

Equipment & services

Surf Shop Prato Nevoso offers a wide range of skis and snowboards (from beginner to expert), boots, helmets and a selection of accessories for sale. The ski workshop provides edge tuning, waxing and adjustments carried out by qualified technicians. A real bonus: a free storage area for skis and snowboards — perfect if you are staying a little farther from the slopes.

Families & children

The shop is designed for families: adapted junior equipment, properly fitted helmets and personalised advice to help younger skiers gain confidence. The multilingual team (Italian, English, French, Spanish) guides parents through the selection and shares useful tips for easy first runs.

Opening hours & comfort

Open every day from late November until the end of the season, from 8:00 to 18:30. During night skiing (all Christmas holidays and every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday), opening hours extend from 19:30 to 23:30.
