Kaltenbach is an Austrian resort set in the Tyrolean region, nestled in the Ziller Valley, renowned for being the world's most active. By skiing in Kaltenbach you will discover the huge skiable domain known as the Zillertal superki area. This domain has over 369km of slopes as it combines the Ziller, Gerlos & Tuxer valleys.The Kaltenbach skiable area is linked to one of the three larger ski areas in the region :La Skiarena Hochzillertal-Hochfugen with 155km of slopes and 35 ski lifts. Former ski champion, Stefan Eberharter from Kaltenbach, has a slope named after him which makes returning from Hochfugen to the Kaltenbach valley possible. This slope is otherwise known as Stefan Eberharter Gold piste. Please note, beginners may run into difficulties on this black run before it becomes a red run at the entrance of Kaltenbach.
