Pas de la Casa, a resort in the heart of Andorra
The largest ski area in the Pyrenees, Grandvalira is also one of the largest in Europe with 210 km of ski slopes. Pas de la Casa enjoys such an extensive ski terrain thanks to the grouping together of six resorts.
Grandvalira: the biggest resort in the Pyrenees
At an elevation of 2,050 m, the ski resort of Pas de la Casa belongs to the largest ski area in the Pyrenees: Grandvalira. Grandvalira boasts 210 km of ski runs that are suitable for skiers of all ability levels, divided across six resorts: Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo and Encamp. There are no fewer than 935 snow cannons whose operation ensures optimum snow coverage throughout your winter sports holiday. What’s more, Grandvalira is equipped with over 70 ski lifts which means you spend less time queuing and more time skiing! Finally, Pas de la Casa has a number of assets such as its World Cup giant slalom and KL (speed skiing) course, fun parks, boardercross runs and three snowparks (one of which is floodlit at night), as well as a mogul field. The options for off-piste skiing are also almost unlimited here.
Good to know: A connected resort
The resort of Pas de la Casa and the entire ski terrain are equipped with multiple Wi-Fi hotspots from where you can share your feats and stay connected.
A resort with diverse activities
Given its Andorra location, Pas de la Casa offers great value as well as a multitude of non-skiing activities, such as snowmobiling through the forest, snowshoeing, dog sledding or spending a night in the Igloo-Hotel. This extremely lively resort promises nights out to remember. For example, check out Cala Bassa Costa Rodona (Ibiza), a bar that brings the Balearic spirit to the Pyrenees and serves the same menu as in Ibiza.
The resort is famous for its amazing nightlife, and if any proof were needed, all the bars are located within a few metres of one another for easy access on foot. Whilst some visitors will prefer a relaxing drink, the keenest athletes will want to put their evenings to good use by trying out night skiing between 5pm and 10pm. To unwind after all these activities, enter one of the spas whose waters will do wonders for your body.
