The resort is also a paradise for cross-country skiers as Ortisei offers over 98km of slopes for Nordic skiing. The “Nordic Park active” is open all year long: for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter, and for Nordic hiking in the summer. Carving, ice hockey, ice climbing, ice-skating, freestyle and snowboarding are amongst some of the sporting activities on offer in Ortisei. A well maintained sledge run will bring you down from the resort towards the bottom of the valley.
