Ski hire Formigal
Formigal, a ski resort with unspoilt nature in the heart of the Pyrenees.
The ski resort of Formigal is located in the Aragonese Pyrenees, in the valley of Tena, almost on the French border (less than 500 metres from the Pourtalet pass).
It is part of the largest alpine ski area in Spain, Aramon Formigal Panticosa.
An exceptional natural landscape
With almost 130 kilometres of ski runs, the Formigal ski area, Grupo Aramón, has become the leading destination for winter sports enthusiasts. No less than 97 main pistes in four valleys (Tres Hombres-Sextas, Izas-Sarrios, Anayet and Portalet), accessible through one of the four entrances to the ski area, await winter sports enthusiasts. The slopes in Formigal consist of stone-free natural meadows and the privileged location of the ski area guarantees optimal snow quality. A total of 22 ski lifts not only serve the slopes, but also 4 freeride trails, 2 snow parks, 1 boardercross trail and 1 mogul slope.
Regardless of your skiing experience, the area offers slopes with different levels of difficulty: Cantales for beginners, Izas and Sarrios for intermediate skiers and Tres Hombres for advanced skiers. Children and beginners can practice in specially designated areas with speed limits, while keen skiers can improve their skills on a video slalom slope. In addition, snowmaking equipment supplements the natural snow cover all the way to the bottom of the ski area. Finally, Formigal has met all expectations in terms of innovation and leisure, offering a wide range of activities and services: Ski hire, shops, ski lessons, solarium, supermarkets, medical centres and pharmacies, as well as the possibility of skiing at night in some areas.
A ski resort with the typical charm of the region.
The region around Formigal is not only a fantastic playground for skiers and adrenaline junkies, but also offers a rich cultural and architectural heritage. Examples include the Gothic Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Sallent de Gállego or the well-preserved 16th century stone bridge.
You can also strap on snowshoes to explore the region's unspoilt nature and the forested Lacuniacha Nature Park, home to bison, reindeer and even bears. You can also take trips on a snowmobile, sled dog or snow bike trail.
Note: The two ski areas, Valle de Tena Panticosa and Formigal, are not connected. If you book in the Nepal shop, you will need to collect your equipment in Formigal.
For your ski rental in Formigal, we recommend that you book the equipment for you and your whole family in advance.
