Champagny and Vallon de Champagny are designated as one of the “natural sites in France”.
Champagny is a family resort that sits at an altitude of 1,250 metres
Whilst the resort has everything needed for skiing (lessons, ski equipment rental, ski lifts, etc.), this area is more given over to Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. The resort village of Champagny has fewer than 700 residents, making it great for families. Located in the heart of the Savoie region, the resort sits on the sunny slope of the huge La Plagne ski area, also known as Paradiski.
Champagny consists of two sites: Champagny Village and Champagny le Haut
The first of these forms the real heart of the resort. It is home to all the shopping, ski equipment rental outlets and services you could ever need. Champagny le Haut is more focused on snow sports and has a number of sporting facilities.
What is there to do in Champagny?
Although the resort is known for its Nordic skiing area, there is also good alpine skiing on offer. Thanks to connections to the Paradiski area (8 minutes away by cable car), Champagny gives visitors access to 425 km of pistes.
