Only a few kilometres as the crow flies from the Vanoise National Park, and at the heart of the Valmeinier - Valloire slopes made of 150km of runs, the Valmeinier resort is the most recently developed resort in the Maurienne. At 1500 metres, with direct access to the slopes, Valmeinier is a village resort that has managed to retain its authenticity, with its narrow cobbled streets and stone houses. Getting around the resort is easy as there is a free shuttle bus that links Valmeinier 1500 to Vammeinier 1800.
