Situated at the heart of the Haut-Giffre valley at 720m, Samoëns is a magnificent village that has managed to preserve its traditional architecture thanks to some wonderful work by its stone masons. It’s the only mountain resort to be graded by the “Caisse des Monuments Historiques” (National Office of Monuments) as an “Area of Art and History”. Samoëns has also managed to retain its dynamic mountain agriculture. Holder of the “P’tits Montagnards” resort label, Samoëns is an ideal ski resort for families, as it offers a number of products and services “all in” to facilitate their stay. The slopes of the Grand Massif ski area that is made up of 265km of runs, from 700 to 2500m, are accessible from Samoëns thanks to the “Grand Massif Express”, a 8 seater cable car.
