Rodeo Park by night at Les Arcs

This fun-filled snow activity will see you all taking to the toboggan piste at night to hit the slopes for an old-fashioned play that the kids are sure to love. Going toboganning is also an opportunity for a bit of a learning experience with the children too, as you can inform them about all of the history of toboggans.

Originally, they were very simple sleds that were used as a traditional form of transport by the Innu and Cree people of northern Canada. Now, of course they are instead used to carry one or more people down a snowy hill or slope, purely for amusement! Of course, it's good exercise climbing to the tops of those hills time and again. Although there are similarities, toboggans are in fact different from other sleds and sleighs as they don't have skis on their underside, instead the bottom of it rides directly on the snow, making for a safer ride down the hill.

First tracks in Les Arcs

Head to this beautiful area of the Alps to enjoy empty slopes and the first bright rays of the sun with skiing experts. This event is headed up by a professional pisteur (someone who is knowledgeable about the ski pistes in the area) who will be able to tell you everything there is to know about the surrounding peaks and the Les Arcs area.

It's open to those who prefer to either ski or snowboard and you will accompany the pisteur down the mountain before the slopes are open to the public. To get the very best of the conditions, this event starts early in the morning and you'll meet the pisteur and other fresh snow enthusiasts at the Bois de L'Ours chairlift at 7:45am. There are several of these events throughout the season, with the next one beginning 4th February. It will then be on every Thursday until the 21st of April, so there are plenty of chances for you to take part in this unique experience.
