The Spanish Sierra Nevada ski resort is perched at 2100m, and is covered with snow practically all year round, even though it's one of Europe's most southerly resorts. It is the ideal destination for high altitude skiing, with 85km of slopes between 2100m and 3295m. This area is also excellent for snowboarders as there is a snowpark and half-pipe. Despite the warmer temperature in comparison with other resorts, the snow condition is excellent thanks to the advanced snow cannons. Only 30km away from Grenada, you will find a huge number of activities at Sierra Nevada: fitness centre, indoor swimming pools, saunas, squash courts, paragliding, indoor tennis, tobogganing, snow mobiles, ice skating… When it come to après-ski, Sierra Nevada will not dissapoint you with its bars, nightclubs, dancing, and its dinners… Thanks to the resorts warm temperatures, plenty of holiday makers will be out soaking up the atmosphere until the early hours of the morning! If you’re looking for a more cultured après-ski, discover the resort's cathedrals, the Alhambra Palace in Grenada and the Royal Chapel.
